Greetings from ONS. We are pleased to announce the Multiple Myeloma Chapter Training Program and need your help.
In response to member feedback and evidence that nurses lack confidence in their understanding of multiple myeloma (MM), its treatments, and particularly the mechanisms of action for new treatments, as well as related patient education, ONS is offering a free train-the-trainer program to be led by Beth Faiman, PhD, CNP, in summer 2021.
In return for providing this free training, ONS asks the newly trained nurses to provide a one-hour MM training to their chapters between August and November 2021, on a date convenient for each chapter, and then provide ONS with a summary of attendee evaluations. A stipend of $350 will be paid to participating chapters after evaluations have been returned.
We are offering this opportunity to all ONS chapter leaders and would be most appreciative if you can share this email and the announcement with your members, encouraging them to apply.
Applications will be accepted from February 5–March 15. Applications will be accepted from February 5–March 15, and can also be found on the ONS Communities Volunteer Opportunities page.
Please contact Project Manager Molly MacLagan (mmaclagan@ons.org) with any questions. We appreciate your support.
Sincerely,
Katie Wiley
