Congressional Support for the Lymphedema Treatment Act

Congressional Support for the Lymphedema Treatment Act

The U.S. Congress and federal government agencies are reevaluating how the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reviews reimbursement payments for lymphedema treatment and evolving the system to better serve more survivors. The Lymphedema Treatment Act is a bipartisan and bicameral federal bill, and the Oncology Nursing Society joins coalition advocates in promoting it. Patient-centered care enhances quality outcomes. As the most trusted profession, nurses are often the first healthcare providers to engage with patients and provide critical symptom management education. Join ONS, nurses, members of Congress, and policy experts to discuss the impact and future of patient-centered lymphedema care through coverage and reimbursement.
