On behalf of the Cholangiocarcinoma Summit Program Steering Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us virtually for the CCA Nursing Track, taking place during the closed-door 3rd Annual Cholangiocarcinoma Summit on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm CT.
For our meeting this year, we are excited to have added a parallel nursing track chaired by Lorraine Drapek, DNP, FNP-BC, AOCNP, nurse practitioner in the department of radiation oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital and co-chair of the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation Nursing Advisory Board.
The goals of the nursing track are to discuss the most recent advances in our understanding of treatment-related adverse events in biliary tract carcinoma, nutrition, and management of biliary obstructions and other complications of CCA. You will have the opportunity to hear from a multidisciplinary faculty of nurse practitioners and clinical oncology nutritionists, as well as participate in interactive discussions with the Summit faculty and your colleagues.
Following completion of the CCA Nursing Track, we will be announcing the winner of the Cholangiocarcinoma Oncology Nurse Excellence (ONE) Award, which recognizes oncology nurses for their outstanding contributions to nursing practice, patient care, or education in CCA in 2021. We encourage all attendees to tune in to the award presentation beginning at 4:30 pm CT.
